Lainey Wilson has dropped the fun, retro-tinged visuals for her Bell Bottom Country fan-favourite, ‘Grease’.
The video pivots around a light-hearted, sleek dance routine, featuring Lainey Wilson performing in front of a backing troupe, a sizzling barbecue and a couple of her tour buses.
Despite the electrifying choreography, the star of the show is undoubtedly the barbecuer, who excitedly pops up every so often with a series of impromptu dance moves as he waves his spatula around.
The funky, anthemic song finds Lainey Wilson getting a little hot under the collar as her man returns home from a hard day at work. The new video leans into the cheeky, swaggering atmosphere of the track, which quickly became one of the many highlights of Lainey's award-winning 2022 album, Bell Bottom Country.
Endearingly, the dancers featured in the new ‘Grease’ video were cherry-picked from the crowd at one of Lainey's recent shows. In the caption, Lainey Wilson wrote, “Grabbed myself a Sonic Strawberry Sprite Zero and threw ourselves a parkin lot party for the Grease music video I saw these guys about a year ago at one of my shows in Charlotte, NC and they were bustin. a. move. out in the crowd”.
She went on to say, “I thought it was the coolest thing they were breakdancing to country music so I tracked them down on socials and asked them if they’d want to be a part of this official video...now, here we are! Y’all let me know what ya think”.
The fact that Lainey Wilson has chosen ‘Grease’ as the latest song to be given an accompanying set of visuals could suggest that it'll be the next single she sends to Country Radio.
She recently topped the Mediabase chart with her dark, ominous HARDY collaboration, ‘wait in the truck’, shortly after claiming the No. 1 spot on the same ranking just a couple of weeks prior with her other truck-themed hit, ‘Heart Like A Truck’.
The Louisiana native is currently out on the road supporting her long-time buddy and country megastar, Luke Combs, on the US and Canadian leg of his 2023 world tour.
