Lainey Wilson has leapt to the pinnacle of the UK Country Radio Airplay chart this week, with ‘Hang Tight Honey’ securing the No. 1 spot with 827,987 impressions from July 19-25.

The fun, uptempo track will appear on the Louisiana hitmaker's forthcoming studio album, Whirlwind, alongside other already-released singles, ‘Country's Cool Again’ and ‘4X4XU’.

‘Hang Tight Honey’ follows in a similarly energising, swaggering vein to fan-favourites such as ‘Hillbilly Hippie’ and ‘Road Runner’, with the endearing track finding Lainey Wilson crooning reassuringly to her lover that she'll be home before they know it. In the promo ahead of its release, Lainey joked that she'd actually penned ‘Hang Tight Honey’ for her beloved frenchie, Hippie Mae Wilson, rather than her boyfriend.

Slotting in at No. 2 this week is Shaboozey's viral hit, ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’, which racked up 815,647 impressions, with Post Malone and Blake Shelton's rowdy, good-time anthem, ‘Pour Me a Drink’ following closely behind on 776,818.

Completing the Top Five during this frame is Ella Langley and Riley Green's infectious, old-timey collaboration, ‘You Look Like You Love Me’, and Luke Combs’ stormy Twisters: The Album single, ‘Ain't No Love in Oklahoma’, at No. 4 and 5 respectively.

The biggest mover this week is Drake Milligan's ‘What I Couldn't Forget’, which earned a staggering 1265% boost in impressions to take him from No. 151 to No. 19. The hike was no doubt instigated by the fact that Drake has been performing his popular headlining run of shows across The Pond over the past couple of weeks.

This week also saw brand new chart entries for Thomas Rhett's ‘Feelin’ Country’, Bayker Blankenship's ‘Maxed Out’, Miranda Lambert's ’Dammit Randy’, Warren Zeiders’ ‘Relapse’ and Gillian Welch and David Rawlings’ ‘Empty Trainload Of Sky’.
