Lainey Wilson's rose-tinted reflection on love, ‘4X4XU’, has surged to the pinnacle of the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart with a tally of 623,118 impressions during this frame.
It serves as Lainey's second No. 1 on the listing, after the swaggering, uptempo ‘Hang Tight Honey’ became the ‘Country's Cool Again’ hitmaker's debut UK chart-topper back in August.
From November 15th to 21st, ‘4X4XU’, which finds the Louisiana singer-songwriter serving up another helping of truck-inspired imagery to convey her appreciation for her partner, received a total of 86 plays across four UK Country Radio stations.
‘4X4XU’, one of the many stand-outs from Lainey Wilson's new album, Whirlwind, replaces Jordan Davis’ ‘I Ain't Sayin’ at the top spot on the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, with ‘I Ain't Sayin’ having to settle for second place. It was a photo-finish, with ‘I Ain't Sayin’ ending less than 2,000 impressions behind ‘4X4XU’.
Completing the Top Five this week is Bailey Zimmerman's wistful, religiously-themed take on a past romance, ‘Holy Smokes’, at No. 3, followed closely by Morgan Wallen's Latin-leaning, Billboard Hot 100-topping smash, ‘Love Somebody’ and Blake Shelton's brand new release, ‘Texas’, which marks his debut with BBR/BMG.
In addition to ‘Texas’, which is expected to feature on Blake's forthcoming studio album, this week also saw new entries from Thomas Rhett and Teddy Swims’ soulful anthem, ‘Somethin’ Bout a Woman’ (No. 24), and Ella Langley's ‘weren't for the wind’ (No. 35).
The biggest mover during this iteration of the chart was Madeline Merlo and Dustin Lynch's new duet, ‘Broken Heart Thing’, which leapt up a staggering 16,000% to land at No. 37.
