Kenny Chesney Joins Kelsea Ballerini for Surprise Performance of ‘Half Of My Hometown’ in Knoxville

Kelsea Ballerini surprised fans with a special live duet with Kenny Chesney, with the two Tennessee native's performing their much-loved collaboration, ‘Half Of My Hometown’, in Knoxville.
The introspective song, which won Kelsea Chesney and Kenny Chesney two ACM Awards in 2021, was endearingly written about the singer-songwriters’ upbringings in Knoxville.
Therefore, the fact that they performed the track in Knoxville as part of Kelsea Ballerini's one-night-only Homecoming Show made the duet all the more momentous and emotional.
Kelsea Ballerini started off ‘Half Of My Hometown’ solo, before cutting it short and teasingly telling attendees she couldn't perform it in Knoxville without the help of her good friend, Kenny Chesney.
Kenny Chesney and Kelsea Ballerini have spent much of the year out on the road together, with Kelsea having supported Kenny for the duration of his 2023 I Go Back tour.
Given the heartwarming chemistry the two artists share whenever they perform together, we're certainly hoping Kenny and Kelsea will hit the studio together once again before too long, with sparks undoubtedly flying every time their stellar vocals combine.
