After teasing that “the biggest album of [his] life” was imminent, Jelly Roll has officially announced the arrival of Beautifully Broken.
The long-awaited follow-up to Whitsitt Chapel, Beautifully Broken will finally be ours come Oct. 11. The record will likely feature previously released singles, like 'Liar', 'I Am Not Okay', and the most recently dropped 'Get By'.
Taking to TikTok ahead of the official album announcement, he described Beautifully Broken as “an album I have dedicated literally 18 months to writing." He explained we will be seeing more of him on the platform as he promotes the upcoming release and asked for fans' patience and respect.
"I'm gonna be all over TikTok, dude," he shared. "I'm gonna try it! So y'all, please, I'm asking y'all personally to come on this journey with me - and don't make fun of me if you see my fat ass dancing on here doing the Cha Cha Slide or something to one of my songs. I'm just trying to create awareness for this new album.”
Along with being open about his TikTok journey, the 'Need A Favor' star has also been transparent about the songs fans can expect during this fresh chapter.
“I’m looking for songs that have purpose,” he shared in an interview with New York Times Magazine earlier this month. “When I go to put out a song under the name Jelly Roll, I think to myself, Why? Because for the first time in my life, it has nothing to do with a financial decision. I’m well past putting out anything for money. So, now, it really is a why."
We'll soon meet some of those "why" songs come October or maybe even get acquainted with a few them as the star continues to embark on his The Beautifully Broken tour, a North American trek that will see him through the rest of 2024.
