After teasing a variety of unreleased songs throughout the year, one of Virginia's most talked-about prodigies, Jake Kohn, has officially dropped his debut single, ‘Frostbite’.

The sparse, stripped-back offering showcases Kohn's gravelly, raw vocals, with the up-and-coming singer-songwriter crooning forlornly as he struggles to find direction in life.

The 16-year-old delivers a flurry of haunting, soul-searching lines as he wanders the streets (“I feel so hollow on the inside / My soul’s as empty as a drum”).

Despite this being Jake Kohn's first studio release, due to the buzz and excitement surrounding the young artist, Kohn made his Grand Ole Opry debut in September.

Fans will be hoping Jake Kohn quickly follows up ‘Frostbite’ with other much-loved unreleased tracks such as ‘Dreams’, ‘Picket Fence’, ‘The Hole’ and ‘Hard As Stone’.

Kohn stormed onto the alt-country and Americana scene at the start of 2023 when his live performance of the latter exploded in popularity, with listeners clamouring for ‘Hard As Stone’ to be made available on streaming platforms sooner rather than later.
