Jake Kohn recently took to social media with some good news. The singer-songwriter will be officially releasing his song ‘Dreams’ on March 8.

‘Dreams’ has long been a staple in his repertoire, a hard-hitting showcase of the track having arrived by way of Red Barn Radio in the summer of 2023. The song has become a favorite among his fans, but one Kohn himself has been weary of dropping.

“I was told time and time again that this song shouldn’t be released,” he shared in a candid post on Instagram, explaining, “It’s too long for public consumption. It’s hard to follow. It’s not my best writing. One thing I’m going to do is stay true to who I am. I’ve never written a song trying to write a hit, and I’m not going to release them based on that either.”

His admirers flocked to the comment section to praise the song and his integrity.

“This is absolutely amazing. Please don’t ever change, Jake,” one fan wrote. “Real as hell” and “Hell yeah, bub,” came other words of encouragement.

“This song means something to a lot of you, and that means something to me,” the artist continued in the post, which included a reel of him performing the emotive tune. “The amount of comments and messages I’ve received asking me to release this song is unreal. It may not be a hit, but if it resonates with one of you, it’s a success to me.”

‘Dreams’ will join his most recent release, ‘Hard as Stone’, which arrived in January 2024, as well as his quickly captivating single ‘Frostbite’ from 2023.

This trio of soon-to-be-classics will likely accompany Kohn on his upcoming tour, running this spring.
