NFL Football Franchise the Jacksonville Jaguars have announced their inaugural country music festival, suitably named Jags Country.
Taking place at the OVO Arena Wembley in London on Thursday, September 28, 2023, the festival will be headlined by 90s country music legend Clint Black.
“I’m very excited and honored to be headlining Jags Country", announced Black. "I’ve always had great experiences in the UK, but I’m sure this will be the most exciting! Many thanks to the Jaguars for inviting me to be a part of their special event".
Joining the 'Killin' Time' singer will be former Florida Georgia Line member Brian Kelley, Californian country singer Tyler Rich, UK favourite Alyssa Bonagura and Northern Irish duo Dea Matrona.
The concert will celebrate the tenth game that the Jacksonville Jaguars will have played in the English capital, with many former Jaguars players and the famous ROAR cheerleaders set to be appearance. Alongside them, the event will be hosted by the Jaguars Senior Report and Editor, JP. Shadrick.
“Commemorating the Jaguars’ tenth game in London was something we were determined to celebrate in an exciting new way, and we believe Jags Country is just that" explained Maria Gigante, VP of UK Operations for the Jacksonville Jaguars. "The line up of top-class U.S and U.K talent, alongside our own beloved alumni promises to be a special evening for both Jaguars and Country fans".
“This year is unique with the game against the Falcons at Wembley stadium is followed by a road game a week later, a first in the NFL international series" continued Gigante. "it was our ambition to deliver great events for our fans to enjoy while the team are in the U.K. The concert on the 28th will provide a platform for us to enjoy a spectacular ten days of the Jaguars in London".
The event is set to be a huge treat for both football fans and country music fans, with both worlds colliding for one big event.
