Noah Kahan has offered fans an update on the creation of his long-awaited new album, with the Vermont native taking to Instagram to reveal he's recorded ‘The Great Divide’.
Noah Kahan has been performing the fan-favourite track at a handful of shows throughout the latter half of 2024, with listeners clamouring for the ‘Northern Attitude’ hitmaker to include ‘The Great Divide’ on his celebrated Live From Fenway Park live album.
However, Kahan explained at the time that ‘The Great Divide’ was a key part of his next musical chapter, and he therefore held it back from the Live From Fenway Park tracklist.
Now, thankfully, Noah Kahan has seemingly given us confirmation that ‘The Great Divide’ will appear on his Stick Season (Forever) follow-up album, which is expected to drop this year.
Via his Instagram Stories, the ‘Homesick’ crooner has shared a selfie alongside the tantalising caption, “Great divide officially recorded and god damn it's sounding special”.
The folk-pop megastar consolidated himself as one of the genre's leading lights through his widely acclaimed Stick Season project and its subsequent re-issues, ensuring Noah Kahan now has more eyes - and ears - trained on him than ever for his next record.
The forthcoming album is believed to feature an array of previously teased tracks such as ‘Pain is Cold Water’, ‘Pain Eater’, ‘Doors’, ‘Best Friend’, ‘If It Helps You’ and ‘All Them Horses’. There's also a potential Bon Iver collaboration in the works, titled ‘Wreckage of You’.
We're still waiting on an release date for the project, but with the recording process underway, we're hoping it won't be too long before we get an official announcement from Kahan.
