It's now been over a week since HARDY dropped his genre-blending opus, the mockingbird & THE CROW, but the album's ascent is showing no signs of slowing down.
For the week ending January 29, the project was crowned Billboard's top-selling album, usurping Taylor Swift's Midnights.
It's a huge moment for HARDY - and for country music in general, with pop, EDM and rap generally typically the all-genre albums charts.
The popularity of HARDY's the mockingbird & THE CROW has been buoyed by two recent high-profile appearances on national talkshows.
The singer-songwriter teamed up with Lainey Wilson for a charismatic rendition of ‘wait in the truck’ on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which was followed up by a widely praised performance of ‘screen’ on NBC's TODAY Show.
Completing Billboard's five best-selling albums of the week is Taylor Swift's Midnights at No. 2, Måneskin's Rush! at No. 3, Wilco's Cruel Country at No. 4and Fleetwood Mac's iconic project, Rumours, at No.5.
