As the dust continues to settle after HARDY dropped his seismic, risk-taking new country-rock album, the mockingbird & THE CROW, this morning, fans were treated to a live debut of ‘screen’.
The Mississippi singer-songwriter performed the motivational anthem on NBC's 3rd Hour of TODAY Show.
HARDY's TODAY Show appearance followed on from his Wednesday night performance of ‘wait in the truck’ with Lainey Wilson on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The inspiring ‘screen’ carries an endearing message encouraging listeners to put down their phones, look up and immerse themselves in the world around them.
In the conversation, HARDY also revealed that, out of the variegated array of characters that feature on the mockingbird & THE CROW, he identifies with the protagonist in ‘screen’ the most.
The track, which appears on the country-leaning mockingbird half of the new album, is another masterclass in the art of storytelling, with the 2022 ACM Songwriter of the Year having built a reputation as one of the go-to writers in Nashville.
HARDY's status as such was consolidated by his recent inclusion at No. 7 in MusicRow's list of the Top 100 Songwriters of 2022.
TODAY Show viewers will have relished getting the chance to enjoy ‘screen’ live, after getting to hear the studio version for the first time on Friday, when the mockingbird & THE CROW was released.
