That’s it, that’s all we know. It’s a five-second montage on his social media with a crackly HARDY singing, "Bury me in Bottomland" over the top.
The trailer is made up of quick clips, but the keen eyed among us have spotted easter eggs, like the word "album" and "#4". Is this track four off of his new album? It’s looking likely.
After HARDY posted his snippet of the track a few days ago, we saw some interesting engagement from Megan Moroney, fellow songwriter Jessie Jo Dillon and Moroney’s manager, Hayley Corbett, and started to ask the question, Could HARDY’s next track feature our beloved emo cowgirl?
Well, the plot thickens, as Dillon has commented on every teaser he’s posted. They’re only small – some deer and a few silver heart emojis, as well as the phrase ‘periodddddddd’. But this time, Moroney’s manager, Corbett, has responded with ‘thank godddd’, which is the same response that the ‘6 Months Later’ singer posted to his video five days ago.
The mind boggles.
If Moroney isn’t featured on this song, it’s looking more and more likely that she’s got some kind of involvement with this next body of work from HARDY and we are here for it.
HARDY’s new track, 'Bottomland', is out this Friday (Aug. 1).
