The picture is finally becoming clearer after Garth Brooks’ cryptic website countdown, with the ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ chart-topper hinting at a run of 2026 tour-dates.
In a new video posted across social media, Brooks dusts off the iconic drum cage that his drummer performed in during his ‘90s tours, reflecting that it's been roughly 30 years since he's used it. Towards the end of this home-video, which is interspersed with shots of his live shows, he teases that it's time to bring back the drum cage, before the words “The Arena Tour is Coming” flash up on-screen.
This exciting teaser comes after Brooks had fans speculating due to a mysterious website countdown, which is due to conclude today (Tuesday, July 7th) at 7am EST.
Due to the countdown finishing on 7/7 at 7am, many fans believed Brooks was about to announce another Las Vegas residency - potentially even at Sphere - due to ‘777’ feeling like a clue about Vegas slot machines. Others - such as ourselves - wagered that Brooks would likely just be unveiling another Anthology CD boxset.
Judging by this new post, it seems Brooks is gearing up to unveil a blockbuster 2026 arena tour. It remains to be seen whether this will be US-only, or whether he'll follow up his BST Hyde Park show in London last month with more international dates.
We still wouldn't be surprised if there's a boxset going on-sale alongside the tour announcement, given the fact that the next instalment in his Anthology series is set to be Part VII. This would tie in nicely with all the ‘7’ symbolism of the countdown.
Either way, we'll know more in terms of the specific dates and cities Brooks will be bringing his arena tour to when he makes his official announcement at 7am EST. Watch this space.
