Jon Pardi was surprised by an appearance from Garth Brooks during his official Grand Ole Opry induction, with Garth delivering the prestigious Opry accolade to Pardi during his performance.
The momentous occasion arrived a matter of months after Jon Pardi's headlining set at Stagecoach Festival 2023 was interrupted by Guy Fieri and Alan Jackson, with the latter announcing the news that Pardi would be the latest Opry inductee.
Garth Brooks paid tribute to his fellow country artist, regaling the audience with a story of when Pardi opened up for the ‘Friends in Low Places’ megastar during one of his stadium runs.
Garth Brooks confessed he was expecting the young Californian to fold under the pressure of the 85,000-strong audience, but instead, he captivated them and shifted the pressure onto Garth.
The touching tale hit the classic Garth Brooks sweet-spot between being playful and heartfelt, with Jon Pardi then emphasising his gratitude for Garth's support over the years.
Jon Pardi will soon be returning for his first full show as an official member of the Grand Ole Opry on November 26, during which the first ever Californian inductee will be performing an array of stand-outs from his upcoming Christmas album.
