Ella Langley Almost Didn't Make It To Her Canning Date With Emily Ann Roberts: “Surely This Ain't The House”

Emily Ann Roberts recalls the moment Ella Langley almost didn’t make it to her house.

During an appearance on John Crist’s Net Positive Podcast, Emily Ann Roberts shared the story of how friend, Ella Langley, almost didn’t make it through the door.

“Everybody thinks I live in a trailer, and it's not,” Roberts shared, “when Ella Langley came over to my house back in January, I think she thought it was a trailer too.”

Roberts is famous for her Yeehaw Meemaw way of life off stage. She crochets, she gardens, she’s wholesome. Langley visited her late last year to can some tomatoes, taking some time to slow down and enjoy the fruits of Roberts’ labour.

“She pulled in my driveway, and then slowly started backing out my driveway,” Roberts laughs with host John Crist. She continues, “and I was like, she’s leaving? I go out the door and I’m like hey!”

Roberts recalls the moment Langley realised she was in the right place, giving them both a good laugh.

“She rolls her window down and she’s like, ‘I didn’t know if this was the right place’, she was like, ‘you gotta be careful out in the country, if you drive down the wrong driveway you’ll get shot, you know’."

“I bet she thought this was a trailer and thought, ‘surely this ain’t the house’," Roberts added.

Thankfully, the girls went on to successfully can their tomatoes that night, giving the internet a good old funny story and some incredibly wholesome content.
