Colter Wall has confirmed the next single from his upcoming Little Songs album will be ‘Corralling The Blues’.
The previously unheard track stays true to the classic country feel that Colter has become known for over the past few years, with the ballad sure to become another staple in his live shows.
The deliberate, unhurried tempo of ‘Corralling The Blues’ feels like an extension of the traditional Western lifestyle that Colter Wall has always been associated with, which often prides itself on its slower, more peaceful pace compared to that of the buzzing, electrified city.
Also set to appear on Little Songs, which will be made available on July 14, is the recently released single, ‘Evangelina’. Colter had performed the much-loved Hoyt Axton cover a number of times out on the road while before dropping the official studio version in April.
Little Songs will be the Canadian singer-songwriter's first full-length record since his widely acclaimed 2020 album, Western Swing & Waltzes and Other Punchy Songs.
In addition to ‘Corralling The Blues’ and ‘Evangelina’, Little Songs will feature ‘For a Long While’, ‘Honky Tonk Nighthawk’ and ‘The Last Loving Words’, the latter of which Colter teased back in February.
