Colter Wall has given fans another taste of his highly anticipated new album by releasing the project's title-track, ‘Little Songs’.
It's another stellar offering, with the Saskatchewan native once again weaving together a rich, evocative tapestry of sounds and lyricism inspired by his traditional Western lifestyle.
The uptempo track pivots around Colter's touching cri-de-coeur that “You've got to fill the big empty / with little songs”, as he takes the listener through a variety of colourful tales.
‘Little Songs’ will have intensified the already-high levels of anticipation heading into Friday, July 14, when the entire Little Songs album will be out in the world.
Alongside the newly shared title-track, the upcoming record will feature the previously released singles, ‘For a Long While’, ‘Corralling the Blues’ and Colter's Hoy Axton cover, ‘Evangelina’.
It'll be the first full-length project from the celebrated Canadian songsmith since he released Western Swing & Waltzes and Other Punchy Songs back in 2020, with listeners excited to hear an array of brand new tracks, such as ‘Standing Here’ and ‘Honky Tonk Nighthawk’.
