Over the past few years, Charley Crockett has established a reputation for being one of the hardest-working artists in the alt-country and Americana space.
Not only has he become known for his prolific output of new music, but Crockett has also earned the title of a certified ‘road warrior’, with the Texan regularly packing out his calendars with tour-dates.
It seems 2023 will be no different, with Crockett announcing a series of shows across the UK and Europe in September. As part of this, the ‘I'm Just A Clown’ singer-songwriter will be performing in Manchester, Dublin, Glasgow, London and Brighton, following his hotly anticipated appearance at the End of the Road Festival in Salisbury.
After his UK and Ireland run of dates, Crockett will be performing in France, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, with the charismatic crooner underlining his desire to continue making regular trips to see his international fanbase.
Crockett explained, “Europe is a continent. Seems like I've been there a time or two. It’s a long way from Texas, I’ll tell you that much. I figure we got an obligation to get over there every now and again to show them a culture they ain’t too likely to see up close”.
Charley Crockett is currently gearing up to release The Man From Waco Redux on May 26, which will feature revamped versions of tracks such as ‘July Jackson’, ‘I'm Just A Clown’, ‘Just Like Honey’, ‘The Man From Waco’ and ‘Tom Turkey’. Crockett dropped the original edition of The Man From Waco on September 9, 2022.
In tandem with the news of Crockett's upcoming overseas tour dates, the artist released a brand new video for one of the many stand-out tracks from the album, ‘July Jackson’.
The visuals follow Charley Crockett as he takes a long, sepia-tinged drive through the Texas desert, as he casually retells the story of the titular character, who gets accused of murder.
Every so often, Crockett is ominously replaced in the driver's seat by the woman playing July Jackson, which appears to be Crockett's fiancée, Taylor Day Grace.
It follows the recent release of the music video for ‘I'm Just A Clown’, another much-loved song from The Man From Waco.
