Charles Wesley Godwin has been added to the already stacked Texas edition of Gordy's HWY 30 Festival 2023.
The West Virginia native will be taking the stage at Fort Worth's iconic Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, October 20, where he'll be joined by his good buddy and 2023 tour-mate, Zach Bryan. Also set to perform on the Friday is Muscadine Bloodline, American Aquarium, Jake Worthington and The LowDown Drifters.
Attendees will be looking forward to hearing Wesley Godwin dusting off a selection of his soulful, storytelling gems, such as ‘Jesse’, ‘Temporary Town‘, ‘Strong’ and ‘Seneca Creek’.
Ticket-holders will also be hoping the fast-emerging country-folk artist may have some new music out in the world by the time Gordy's HWY 30 Festival Texas rolls around in October, with the songsmith having teased a series of unreleased songs in recent months.
The last time Charles Wesley Godwin and Zach Bryan were booked for the same festival, the dynamic duo joined forces for a rousing live rendition of their celebrated collaboration, ‘Jamie’. The haunting ballad features on Zach Bryan's acclaimed 2022 Summertime Blues EP.
Charles Wesley Godwin will open for Zach Bryan on June 23 and 24 in New York, with Wesley Godwin then due to serve as support throughout August. In-between those hotly anticipated tour dates, the ‘Lyin’ Low’ crooner will be continuing his own headlining run of shows, with performances lined up in Tennessee, Massachusetts, California and more.
Gordy's HWY 30 Festival Texas - not to be confused with the popular Idaho instalment of the event, which will take place in late June - boasts a stellar line-up that also includes Brothers Osborne, Dierks Bentley, Ashley McBryde, Cody Jinks, Koe Wetzel, Diplo, Mike & The Moonpies, Pecos & The Rooftops, Priscilla Block and more.
