Shortly after releasing a brand new live version of her acclaimed 2021 project, 29: Written in Stone, Carly Pearce has continued the momentum from this by notching up her fourth No. 1 single.

The latest in her quartet of chart-toppers is ‘What He Didn't Do’, which originally featured on 29: Written in Stone alongside other fan-favourites such as ‘Diamondback’ and ‘Easy Going’.

‘What He Didn't Do’, which follows in similar footsteps to another of Carly Pearce's infectious post-divorce anthems, ‘Next Girl’, has this week overtaken Bailey Zimmerman's ‘Rock and A Hard Place’ on the Mediabase Country Airplay chart.

Zimmerman stays at No. 2, followed by Lainey Wilson's hugely popular ‘Heart Like A Truck’. At No. 4 is Luke Combs’ ‘Going, Going, Gone’, taken from his 2022 album, Growin’ Up.

To celebrate her fourth No. 1 single, Carly Pearce penned a touching thank-you message to her co-writers on the song, along with Country Radio, her fans and her general team.

Pearce wrote, “I can’t even put into words what this moment means. When I wrote this song, I needed to be reminded of my worth & that I deserved better— and y’all have shown me that I DO matter.

Thank you country radio, my co writers Emily Shackelton & Ashley Gorley, fans & my entire team for this. This season of my life started so painful, and is ending so beautiful. What a way to end the 29 chapter”.

Carly Pearce's previous three No. 1 singles include 2017's ‘Every Little Thing’ and 2020's ‘I Hope You're Happy Now’ with Lee Brice, along with her iconic 2023 Grammy-winning Ashley McBryde collaboration, ‘Never Wanted To Be That Girl’.
