Brandy Clark Teams Up With Lindsey Buckingham For Rendition Of 'The Past Is The Past'

Brandy Clark has teamed up with Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham for a new version of ‘The Past Is The Past’.
The song is taken off the deluxe edition of Clark’s grammy nominated album, Your Life Is A Record, which is set to be released this Friday (March 5th).
The song, which was written by Brandy Clark, Barry Dean and Luke Laird, was the closing track of the record which came out in March 2020.
The new version is produced by Buckingham, who also plays guitar on the track. Clark said about the duet' "A few years ago, Lindsey heard a demo of ‘The Past Is The Past’ and said he wanted to cut it, which felt like such an immense honour.
When I heard he wanted to produce a version of me singing it, I was floored. Working with him on it was really a pinch myself moment. Another instance for me where I met a hero who did not disappoint”.
In addition to this collaboration, the deluxe version of ‘Your life Is A Record’ will feature collaborations with Brandi Carlile, live versions of ‘Pawn Shop’ and ‘Who You Thought I Was’ as well as a new track written with The Love Junkies.
