Blake Shelton has returned to the pinnacle of the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, with his traditional-leaning twanger, ‘Texas’, usurping Drew Baldridge's ‘Tough People’ at No. 1.
It marks Shelton's fourth nonconsecutive week in the top spot with ‘Texas’ and his second career UK Country Radio Airplay Chart chart-topper, after ‘Pour Me a Drink’ with Post Malone.
Amassing an impressive 879,275 impressions during the tracking period dated February 21 - 27th, ‘Texas’ secures a convincing lead over former No. 1, Lainey Wilson's ‘4X4XU’, which has to settle for second position this time around with a tally of 744,010.
Completing the Top Five this week is Ella Langley's viral, infectious ode, ‘weren't for the wind’, Myles Smith and Lainey Wilson's revamped duet version of ‘Nice To Meet You’ and Old Dominion's nostalgic hit, ‘Coming Home’, at No. 3, 4 and 5 respectively.
The biggest mover on this frame is Tyler Hubbard's feel-good, uptempo single, ‘Back Then, Right Now’, which soars a staggering 1,209% to land at No. 43. ‘Back Then, Right Now’ - one of the many stand-outs from the Georgia native's widely acclaimed 2024 record, Strong, has now spent 36 weeks on the chart, with a peak of No. 6.
This week's UK Country Radio Airplay Chart also sees debuts for Tucker Wetmore's ‘3,2,1’ (No. 25), The Castellows and Flatland Cavalry's ‘Place They Call Home’ (No. 32), Carly Pearce's ‘No Rain’ (No. 37), Jackson Dean's ‘Big Blue Sky’ (No. 38), Maya Lane's ‘Bump Into Me’ (No. 41), Old Dominion's ‘Making Good Time’ (No. 42), Kane Brown's ‘Fiddle in the Band’ (No. 44) and Tyler Hubbard's ‘Turn’ (No. 45).
