Bailey Zimmerman has teased new music this week, with the exciting singer-songwriter posting a snippet of ‘Get To Gettin’ Gone’ to his socials.
It looks like fans will be receiving an early Christmas present, as Zimmerman went on to confirm that the song would be dropping on December 23.
The unreleased track explores the demise of a relationship, with Zimmerman producing another radio-friendly, earworm of a hook that revolves around the song-title.
He sings, “We had it good, ain't no good time for goodbye”, before launching into another rendition of the chorus. It carries Zimmerman's signature rasp, which surges across a fiery, uptempo beat.
The teaser comes after Zimmerman secured his first ever Country Radio No. 1 with his monster hit, ‘Fall in Love’. The track was included in Holler's recently unveiled 2022 Songs of the Year list.
The Louisville native was also announced as the support for Morgan Wallen's colossal One Night At A Time world tour, which kicks off in 2023.
When Zimmerman sat down to chat with Holler last month, he cited Wallen as a mentor, and ‘Get To Gettin’ Gone’ certainly seems to draw influence from the pop-infused but gritty sound that Wallen has honed.
After hearing this enticing snippet and learning that it's being scheduled for a pre-Christmas release, Bailey Zimmerman's fans will no doubt be switching off their Holiday Classics CDs and blasting out ‘Get To Gettin’ Gone’ all season long.
