Just one week after releasing his playful, heartbreak anthem, ‘902180’, Tyler Hubbard returned again with another new song, ‘All I Need Is You’. The faith-filled offering is the lead single from the new compilation album, Songs Inspired by The Chosen. It's not the first time Hubbard has explored his Christian beliefs through his music, having released other spiritually-minded gems such as ‘Way Home’, as well as cutting ‘Blessings’ and ‘Forever Home’ with Chris Tomlin as Florida Georgia Line.

Ahead of its arrival, Hubbard and the creator of the hit TV series, The Chosen, Dallas Jenkins, sat down to discuss how much the show means to the Florida Georgia Line hitmaker.

The Chosen, which stars Jonathan Roumie and follows the life of Jesus, returns for Season 6 this November, with a special collection of songs being released in tandem with the new series. ‘All I Need Is You’, which is addressed to Jesus, kicks this off, with THubb sharing with Jenkins how it's a nightly family ritual to watch The Chosen.

The full project is due to arrive in October 2026, as the excitement builds ahead of The Chosen Season 6. The Chosen made history when it first aired as the highest crowd-funded media project in history, reportedly raising over $10 million for its debut season.

‘All I Need Is You’ finds Hubbard leaning into a more Contemporary Christian Music ambience, with the Georgia native's distinctive, honeyed drawl gliding across an atmospheric instrumental. As the song builds towards its moving crescendo, we get the introduction of a rousing choir, accentuating the soul-stirring feel of the song.

‘All I Need Is You’ finds Hubbard reflecting on the wilder days of his youth, and sharing how chasing the highs of success and partying the nights away just left him feeling empty.

He goes on to reveal how finding Jesus helped him to find peace, expressing his gratitude for how Jesus has been with him and loving him through all the ups and downs of his life. Whether he was devoting time to prayer and going to church or neglecting his spiritual life, Jesus’ love and - crucially - grace was a constant regardless.

Hubbard uses colourful, nature-based imagery to convey how he experienced some of the most exhilarating moments possible in life, but ultimately, nothing satisfied and comforted him in the way that Jesus can (“I've seen bluest of blue skies / I've had a taste of the rain / I've burned it up after midnight / Gotten too close to the flame / I've seen what's on the top of the mountain / I made it there to just find out”).

He reaches the conclusion that, even if he was to lose everything he has built over the years, it wouldn't matter. At the end of the day, as Hubbard declares, “All I need is You”.

While chatting to Jenkins shortly before the arrival of ‘All I Need Is You’, the ‘Dancin’ in the Country’ crooner opened up to The Chosen creator, “A lot of times I want to write songs about everything I experience in life, and my faith is a big part of that. So getting the opportunity to write this song, to create this song, is really special for me, and also to be a part of this show which also means so much”.

In a separate statement, the ‘5 foot 9’ chart-topper emphasised how much he and his family love the show, “My wife, my three kids and I have a nightly ritual of watching The Chosen. We really got into it! It’s a show that I love and am connected to, so I was really excited to personally be a part of the show and part of the music”.
