Parker McCollum has released three acoustic tracks as part of his newly unveiled Apple Music Nashville Sessions EP, which features revamped takes on ‘Burn It Down’ and ‘High Above The Water’.
The project also includes a special rendition of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' iconic song, ‘American Girl’, which originally appeared on their much-loved self-titled 1976 album.
Listeners were undoubtedly thankful to see ‘Burn It Down’ included on Parker McCollum's new Apple Music Sessions EP, with the simmering, heartbroken track quickly establishing itself as one of the many highlights from Parker's 2023 album, Never Enough.
The stripped-back Apple Music Sessions version dials up the vulnerability of the ‘Pretty Heart’ hitmaker's vocal, allowing him to infuse an additional sense of emotional rawness into the song.
‘High Above The Water’ is another celebrated inclusion on the new project, with the track having served as one of the keystones of Parker McCollum's lauded 2015 debut, The Limestone Kid.
The Texas native is the latest artist to take part in Apple Music's Nashville Sessions series, with 49 Winchester, Ruston Kelley and Tommy Prine having all released exclusive EPs through the platform.
