The biggest tour on the planet is being welcomed into the Sunshine State on October 18th, with Taylor Swift preparing for a three-night stint at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.
The venue usually plays host to the Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes, but this weekend, it'll be attracting around 180,000 Swifties as part of Taylor's hugely popular 2024 Eras Tour. The ‘Fortnight’ hitmaker has been performing across the US, South America, Europe and more, bringing her unrivalled arsenal of chart-toppers and global smashes to a dizzying array of the most prestigious stages in the world.
The support act for all three of Taylor Swift's Hard Rock Stadium shows will be indie-pop trailblazer, Gracie Abrams, and fans can look forward to hearing her high-profile Taylor collaboration, ‘us’, as well as recent hits such as ‘I Love You, I'm Sorry’ and ‘Risk’.
Taylor Swift's blockbuster Eras Tour sets have become renowned for being spectacular, three-hour extravaganzas, with Taylor staying true to the title and treating attendees to a rip-roaring journey through her various musical eras, from the stormy, captivating venom of Reputation to the jubilant, colourful celebration of Lover.
Excitingly, in honour of her final stretch of Eras tour-dates - which will conclude in December in Vancouver - Taylor Swift has announced on socials that she's releasing a special Anthology vinyl and CD version of her 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department, in addition to a special, souvenir Eras tour book featuring, in Taylor's words, “my own personal reflections, never-before-seen behind the scenes photos, all the magical memories you guys brought every single night”.
Sadly, these items will not be available at the Hard Rock Stadium. Both the Eras tour book and Anthology vinyl will be Target exclusives, dropping on Black Friday (November 29th).
Few fanbases are as loyal or as fervent as Taylor Swift's expansive army of ‘Swifties’, and they have been known to camp outside venues for days in advance in order to secure a place at the barrier. It's worth highlighting the official Hard Rock Stadium guidelines state that ticket-holders cannot arrive prior to 3:30pm on show days.
Parking gates are due to open at 3:30pm, with the stadium gates opening an hour later, at 4:30pm. Each Florida show is listed as kicking off at 7pm, but we suspect Gracie Abrams will perform before this, perhaps around 6pm, because Taylor Swift's sets usually last from around 7pm to 10 or 10:30pm - although these times can vary.
There are a number of parking options located relatively near to the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, but for official venue parking, a prepaid pass is required. This cannot be bought on-site, and must be secured in advance. There are Yellow, Black East, Black North and Black South parking zones available, as well as Park and Ride and Parent Drop-Off options, all of which are detailed on the stadium website.
As is the case with many concerts nowadays, the Hard Rock Stadium will be operating a clear-bag policy, meaning only transparent bags no bigger than 12" x 6" x 12" will be permitted into the venue, or alternatively, small bags no bigger than 4.5" x 6.5".
We're pretty confident we're not the only ones that believe you can never have too much Taylor Swift merchandise, and there will be plenty of opportunities to secure some new Eras Tour swag in Miami, Florida this weekend. The official stores at the venue are open to the public from Wednesday, October 16th from 10am to 8pm and Thursday, October 16th from 10am to 8pm. Entry to these merch stores, which are accessible for non-ticket-holders, can be gained via Parking Gate 2.
For those with tickets, there are also stores located inside the Hard Rock Stadium, which are open on all three of the show dates (October 18th, 19th and 20th) from 4:30pm to 12am.
With the unforgettable era of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour winding down, these last October, November and December sets will no doubt carry a bittersweet hue, as fans soak up the incredible experience knowing they may never see the same show again.
However, this is all the more reason to relish the chance to witness a modern great - if not the modern great - in action this weekend at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium in ‘Florida!!!’
