‘Marshals’ Season 1 and 2: Where to Watch, Soundtrack, Cast and More

As Yellowstone came to a close, fans were desperate for the characters to live on in their own series, particularly Kayce Dutton. In March 2025, reports went live that a spin-off starring Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton) was in production with CBS. A year later, in March 2026, the Montana based series, Marshals, aired for the first time.

Created by Spencer Hudnut and co-created & executively produced by Taylor Sheridan and David C. Glasser, Marshals follows Kayce Dutton as he joins the special US Marshals division to help protect the complex land of Montana.

Season 2 of Marshals was already commissioned before season one closed, ensuring that fans did not have to wait too long for the second dose of cowboy chaos.

Airing in October 2026, just five months after the season one finale, Marshals Season 2 also saw the return of Jefferson White as Jimmy Hurdstrom. Like Grimes, White is a fellow Yellowstone original who cut his teeth as a clumsy loveable ranch hand for the Duttons before heading south to the famous Four Sixes ranch in Texas.

Here, we'll have all the up-to-date news and latest soundtrack from each episode of Marshals Season 1 and 2.

Much like Yellowstone - and many other neo-Western series like Landman and Tulsa King - the soundtrack has been just as talked about as the stories. With live performances from country stars such as Ashley Cooke, Marshals features many well-known country artists and smaller, up and comers, that combine to make an excellent playlist.

As with Yellowstone, Brian Tyler and Breton Vivian composed the instrumental soundtrack while Kevin Edelman curates the licensed tracks for the episodes, with guidance from Hudnut and of course, musician himself, Luke Grimes.
