After a jam-packed year of stellar performances, celebrated debuts and much-deserved inductions, the Grand Ole Opry enjoyed a wonderful 98th year in 2023.
As the holidays roll out and we turn over the calendars to 2024, the Opry House is warming up our winter with a month of its traditional broadcasting, taking place both at its current home and its former home, the historic Ryman Auditorium.
An annual occurrence, the Grand Ole Opry will pack up for a few weeks in January for its winter recess to the Ryman.
This time around, there will be a double header on January 12, with shows at 7pm and 9:30 featuring Brothers Osborne, Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell, Lucinda Williams and more.
Before heading back to its usual home, country music fans will also get the chance to see a two-show edition of Opry Goes Dolly. Honoring one of the Queens of Country, the evening will include tributes and performances from Lauren Alaina, Terri Clark, Elle King, Tigirlily Gold and Ashley Monroe, among other special guests.
The month of January will also bring a coveted Opry debut from one of the fastest rising talents in the alt-country space, Wyatt Flores. Taking the stage on January 20, the Tulsa tunesmith will enter the hallowed circle and bring a trio of his biggest hits along with him.
Before the month's end, the Opry will also welcome Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons for a special show on January 28.
While the month of January is a bit light for the revered Grand Ole Opry, the year is just heating up and is sure to bring a heavy helping of memorable moments in 2024.
