Country Concert is entering its 42nd year in 2023, and to help celebrate, the festival-organisers have pulled together some of the biggest names in country music for the July event. 

 complete a star-studded headlining trio, while numerous other high-profile artists have also been added to the bill. These include 

, Jordan Davis, Ernest,  Priscilla Block, Pillbox Patti, Ashley Cooke and more.

More recently, it was announced that country prodigy 

 would be joining the line-up, alongside heavy-hitters such as 

, Ben Burgess, Jelly Roll and Tracy Lawrence. 

In addition to this, Warren Zeiders’ set has been moved from Saturday, July 8 to Thursday, July 6. Dillon Carmichael and Alex Miller will also be joining Drake Milligan and Big Loud's rising star, Lauren Watkins, for the Wednesday Camper Party on July 5.

The family-owned occasion has become a staple of every country music fan's festival calendar, with Country Concert having previously welcomed numerous artists from the country pantheon. Icons such as 

, George Jones, Tammy Wynette and Willie Nelson have all been welcomed to Fort Loramie for past instalments. 

The 2022 event saw a stellar array of artists descend on the historic Ohio site for another hugely popular festival. Fans were treated to performances from the likes of 

In recent years, Country Concert has added the Homegrown Honkytonk & VIP Stage to its original set-up of just the Main Stage and Saloon Stage. This new addition has showcased up-and-coming artists such as Mike Riley, North to Nashville, Michelle Robinson and more.

In order to remain in the upper echelon of country music for 30 years - as Tim McGraw has done - many artists resort to regular reinventions and left-turns in order to keep the attention of their fast-evolving fanbase.

Tim McGraw has retained his status as a country megastar as a result of doing the exact opposite. He’s stayed true to his sound, sticking to his hugely popular neo-traditional country blueprint, with Tim continuing to place the emphasis on classic storytelling, sleek hooks and timeless lyricism.

This is as evident on his 2004 touchstone for all subsequent carpe diem anthems, ‘Live Like You Were Dying’, as it is on his 2020 ode to the importance of cherishing the little things, ‘I Called Mama’.

Since his self-titled 1993 debut record, McGraw has gone on to release 17 full-length studio albums in total, including the sweet, affecting collaborative project with his wife, Faith Hill, in 2017, 

Although Tim McGraw has become synonymous with the mainstream country scene, this hasn't stopped him from colouring outside the lines, such as on his chart-topping 2004 duet with rapper, Nelly (‘Over and Over’).

There’s always been an endearing sense of wide-eyed innocence and an inspiring optimism at the core of Tim McGraw’s music, captured on his now-iconic ‘90s country earworm, ‘Where The Green Grass Grows’, as well as on his tear-jerking 2016 call-to-action, ‘Humble and Kind’.

Tim McGraw’s penchant for heartwarming themes and tales of undying romance has thankfully carried over to his most recent releases, 2023’s 

The latter featured the next chapter in Tim McGraw’s unrivalled catalogue of story-songs, ‘20 for 30’, which finds the Louisiana native holding onto his youthfulness while at the same time staring the prospect of ageing square in the eyes, as he delivers his version of George Strait’s ‘Troubadour’.

Dierks Bentley heard Nashville calling from a young age. After visiting the city as a college student in the mid-90s, he transferred from the University of Vermont to Vanderbilt, but it would take several more years before his dream of playing music professionally became a reality.

After signing to Capitol Records, Bentley made a major splash with his first single, ‘What Was I Thinkin’’, off his 2003 self-titled debut album. He hasn’t slowed down since, releasing a staggering number of best-selling albums and no. 1 songs, including 2006’s ‘Every Mile a Memory’, 2009’s ‘Feel That Fire’ and 2012’s ‘Am I the Only One’. 

Although Bentley plays country music, he’s often dabbled in bluegrass – the genre he says he first heard after relocating to Nashville. In 2010, he released a bluegrass album, Up on That Ridge, and later followed it with 2018’s The Mountain - an album heavily influenced by bluegrass’ instrumentation and arrangements.

Not only is Bentley among the youngest musicians ever inducted into the Grand Ole Opry (at 29 years old in 2005), but he’s been nominated for Grammys, CMA Awards, CMT Awards and even won ACM’s Merle Haggard Spirit Award in 2018 for his lengthy and notable career.

Bentley is a country music artist but after dabbling in bluegrass, he received massive recognition at a very young age.

Like many country artists, Luke Bryan gained his start by writing for other singers. But that early songwriting work helped him land a record deal with Capitol Nashville in 2007. When his debut album I’ll Stay Me arrived that same year, Bryan had co-writing credit on 10 of the album’s 11 tracks. 

Bryan’s hard work has also led to major accolades. In 2010, he won the ACM Award for Top New Artist and Top New Solo Vocalist. Just three years later, in 2013, the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association named him ‘Entertainer of the Year’. 

Bryan opened the restaurant 32 Bridge Food + Drink on Nashville’s Broadway strip, and took that same name, 32 Bridge Entertainment, to start his own record label under Universal Music Group Nashville. 

His seventh studio album Born Here Live Here Die Here was released in 2020.

He emerged onto the scene in the early 2010s, when classic country was still largely seen as old hat.

Pardi’s breakthrough 2014 single, ‘Up All Night’, was pop enough to fit into the existing paradigm, while introducing the world to Pardi’s penchant for a more retro, traditional-leaning style.

 saw Pardi hitting his stride, and the project produced a string of prolific singles, such as ‘Heartache on the Dance Floor’, ‘Night Shift’ and ‘Dirt on My Boots’.

Pardi’s increasing prominence was recognised at the 2017 CMA Awards, as he won the coveted New Artist of the Year prize.

Pardi returned emphatically in 2020 with

The project found Pardi leaning into the party-puns that so often get linked to his last name, with the Californian highlighting that he’s just as good at honouring the neon lights (‘Tied One On’) as he is at capturing the after-hours, tear-in-my-beer melancholy (‘Starlight’).

The further into his career that Jon Pardi has progressed, the more it feels as though he’s settled into the latter half of his neo-traditionalist sound.

A native of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, a young Pearce once declared that one day she would play the Grand Ole Opry. Now, a couple of decades later, she's become a member of the Opry family, tallied 100 appearances in the hallowed Circle and become one of the leading ladies in the country format.

Since first gaining recognition in 2017 with her independently released, Gold-certified single, 'Every Little Thing,' which eventually became her first of four No. 1s at country radio, Pearce has been on a steady climb into the upper echelons of country music and making her fair share of history along the way.

With tried and true hits, including the No. 1 tune of 'I Hope You're Happy Now' with Lee Brice, 'Hide the Wine,' 'Closer to You' and 'Next Girl,' Pearce has brought a bluegrass-inspired brand of contemporary country into the forefront of her music and coupled it with her deeply personal and cleverly crafted songwriting, as evidenced on her 2021 studio album, 

Over the last two years, the Grammy-nominated artist has nabbed two more trips to the top of the charts, including with her blockbuster, Ashley McBryde-graced duet, 'Never Wanted To Be That Girl,' which also earned the pair an ACM Award and a Grammy.

She most recently earned her fourth No. 1 with the Platinum-certified single, 'What He Didn’t Do,' making her the first woman in 80 weeks to top the country radio charts with a solo track.

With multiple RIAA certifications, three CMA Awards, four ACMs and a CMT Music Award, the Kentucky Music Hall of Famer has created her own special concoction of starpower, fit with her signature Kentucky-bred twang and fierce lyrical vulnerability to boot.

As the world awaits the newest installment of her beloved artistry, one can only imagine how proud the little girl from Kentucky would be of the proud woman currently sitting atop her country music throne.

When it comes to artists that were destined for stardom, Carly Pearce's name should be embossed in gold and perched promptly at the top of that list.

 EP in June 2022, it became the biggest streaming country debut of all time. Zimmerman also became one of just three country artists to earn over a million streams on each track during street week alone. The other two artists? None other than Luke Combs and Zach Bryan.

It’s sometimes difficult to believe that Bailey Zimmerman is still in his early twenties, and that he’s only been releasing music since 2021. In the space of just over a year, Zimmerman has enjoyed an ascent that has felt so meteoric, that he seems to have already transcended the labels of ‘prodigy’ and ‘prospect’.

‘Fall in Love’, one of the highlights from his 2022 EP, became his first Country Radio No. 1 in December. The single serves as the perfect encapsulation of what makes Zimmerman such a threat. It has the signature rasp and heart-wrenching intensity that pervades much of the project, but - crucially - it is packaged up with a pop-leaning production style that makes it ideal for Country Radio.

The result is a sound that simultaneously straddles both the mainstream and the outer edges of the modern country landscape. Part of Zimmerman’s ability to infiltrate both markets can be traced back to his blue collar roots, having grown up working on a gas pipeline.
