Since releasing his debut album, A Stolen Jewel, in 2015, Charley Crockett has been letting the musical faucet pour, producing 13 albums in the span of nine years and becoming one of the most beloved and revered songwriters in the country music.

After the release of his coincidentally timely 2020 album, Welcome to Hard Times, Crockett exploded in popularity, rolling out hit record after hit record including his most recent, $10 Cowboy. As his legion of fans has grown, Crockett has also been busy traversing the world and bringing his live show to all of its corners.

In 2024, that has only become more common for 'The Man From Waco'. Having kicked off the first half of the year with a slew of shows in Australia and early festival appearances in the US, Crockett headed straight across the pond to the UK for three nights at Hoxton Hall in London, England in May.

Never afraid to shuffle things around and kick the dust off of some timely classics in his catalogue, Crockett performed solo in the 300-capacity venue, treating fans not only to some of the first performances of tracks from the latest record, but some deep cuts not performed for years.

Crockett seamlessly flirts between old-time rock n roll, blues and country, all while cruising around the stage and crooning in his hypnotizing lower baritone. Performing solo without The Blue Drifters for the first time in years, Crockett performed quite steadfast in front of the microphone, only breaking aware his slicked-back stare to riff on his acoustic guitar, his body jolting to the rhythm.

As well as sifting through his back catalogue, Crockett paid homage to many of his musical influences, sailing through several celebrated covers including Vincent Neil Emerson's '7 Call 11', Gram Parsons' 'Sin City' and Waylon Jennings' All Around Cowboy'.

While Crockett is set to perform a number of dates across the US in 2024, fans across the pond are cherishing the opportunity to catch Crockett this week. Crockett has two more nights in London, before heading back to the US and Canada for a series of headline shows with Noeline Hoffman and more in support.
