During their most recent appearance at the Grand Ole Opry, Flatland Cavalry showcased an unreleased song, called 'Homesteady'.

While the heartfelt offering appeared on a late November episode of the hit Western drama series, Yellowstone, its debut on the iconic Opry stage made for a singular listening experience.

"Home is actually whatever it is that you are, where you feel peace inside your heart," frontman Cleto Cordero told the crowd, introducing the personal tune. "That's what I'm always seeking."

Against a simple acoustic arrangement, he sings, "Some men drift like tumbleweeds / Chasin' dreams and fantasies / Restless as a northern prairie / Restin' under Western stars / Out here where the wild things are / Feel safer than where any road can get me / Lord, let me live a life / That's homesteady."

A release date for 'Homesteady' is not yet known, but the song could be a first taste of Flatland Cavalry in their new era, something their latest album, Flatland Forever, hinted at.

The group made their recent Opry appearance as members of the Opry NextStage class of 2024, alongside fellow rising talent like Wyatt Flores, Ella Langley, Charles Wesley Godwin and more.

Over the course of the year, these acts have received dedicated support from the Grand Ole Opry institution, in partnership with Tecovas. Through featured original content, performances and promotion across brand platforms, the Opry has worked to elevate this NextStage class, introducing the them to new fanbases, expanding their audiences and giving them tools to succeed in their burgeoning careers.
