Country royalty and long-time friends Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson have reunited - only this time in colourfully animated form - on the brand new video for 'Pretty Paper'.
The song, that features on Parton's October-released festive record A Holly Dolly Christmas, was written by Nelson in 1963 after he witnessed a disabled man selling pencils and wrapping paper outside a department store.
“I figured since everybody probably wouldn’t get to celebrate Christmas as usual this year, I wanted to be creative instead of sitting around at the house this summer,” Parton says.
“So I put on my mask, gloves and practiced social distancing, as well as all of the wonderful musicians and singers, and we proceeded to put together what I think is some of the best work that I’ve ever done.”
The track's video sees the pair riding happily on a wagon through sunny Fort Worth, Texas. It follows in what seems to be a growing series of animations from Parton, who released a similar video for her duet with Michael Bublé in November.
