Zach Bryan secured five wins during the recent Billboard Music Awards, taking home honors in both the ceremony's country and rock categories.
Speaking to his genre-spanning style, he aptly celebrated two country and two rock victories, as well as a win for Top Streaming Song. He bested in Top Country Touring Artist and Top Country Album with his 2023 self-titled release.
He also took the crown for Top Rock Song with his Kacey Musgraves duet, 'I Remember Everything' – the collaboration also reigned as Top Streaming Song – as well as overall Top Rock Artist.
In the latter category, he beat out a head-scratching list of nominees like dreamy folk star Hozier, soul-informed country rapper Jelly Roll, folk-pop singer-songwriter Noah Kahan and nu metal mainstays Linkin Park, who were arguably the only certified rock group in the list.
Last year, however, Bryan won just as big in the rock realm, taking home Top New Artist, Top Rock Artist, Top Rock Song for his hit single, ‘Something in the Orange’, and Top Rock Album for his 2022 project, American Heartbreak.
Going into the 2024 ceremony, Bryan and Morgan Wallen were the night's leading nominees, Bryan having 18 nominations and Wallen with 15.
They went head-to-head in several of the cross-genre categories, duking it out for Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist, overall Top Artist and more.
