Even though he's taking some time away from touring, Zach Bryan is showing no signs of slowing down on the new music front, with the ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker taking to Instagram to tease another unreleased song, titled, ‘Dark Brown Eyes’.
It finds the Oklahoma native regaling listeners with the tale of a man that leaves his lover, and prepares to head out into the Arizona night, before she offers him some words of warning.
Across a combination of drums, his trusty guitar and horns, Zach Bryan wistfully croons, “When I was leavin’ your house, you told me, ‘Be careful’ / There's some dark, dark deserts under Arizona sky / Sedona don't own you or owe you a damn thing / And you've always got somewhere else on your mind / Like somewhere that'll care and maybe treat you fair / With a Spanish tongue and some dark brown eyes”.
Zach Bryan is currently gearing up to release his highly anticipated With Heaven On Top EP, with the project expected to feature other recently shared demos such as ‘Santa Fe‘, ‘Always Willin’, ‘Metal’ and the title-track, which features vocals from New York artist, Grumpy, who also sings on ‘High Road’ and ‘This World's A Giant’.
Following his EP, which Bryan has confirmed is coming “sooner than not”, the ‘I Remember Everything’ chart-topper's attention will seemingly be turning towards his next studio album.
Earlier in the year, Bryan announced that both With Heaven On Top and his next full-length album will be dropping in 2025. The country-folk titan recently shared a Matthew McConaughey-voiced introduction to what looks to be a documentary about the creation of Bryan's new record, which is billed as his final major label album.
With Zach Bryan set to perform a carefully curated selection of blockbuster shows throughout the year, including a keenly awaited double-header at London's BST Hyde Park festival and three dates at Dublin's Phoenix Park, we're hoping the ‘Blue Jean Baby’ maverick will have an array of new tracks to debut during those shows.
