“You Sound So Good!”: Brandon Lake Begs Lindy Bryson to Release Her Own Version of ‘The Jesus I Know Now’

Lindy Bryson's stunning cover of Brandon Lake and Lainey Wilson's ’The Jesus I Know Now’ has caught Lake's eye. The ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’ singer-songwriter has heartwarmingly responded to the video by urging Bryson to release her own version.

And it's not difficult to see why Lake was so impressed by Bryson's take on the soul-stirring song. Bryson's ethereal, sinuous vocals combine beautifully with the easy strum of the guitar, with the stripped-down feel capturing the vulnerability of the track.

In the original caption, Bryson gushes, “LOVE this song by @laineywilson and @brandonlake”. Now, Lake has replied, with the South Carolina native excitedly commenting, “you sound so good!! Record and release your own version please I need it!”

Touchingly, Bryson has responded by underlining how much Lake's compliments mean to her, sharing warmly, “Thank you @brandonlake!! You made my whole day!!”

We'd love to see the up-and-coming artist, who recently signed to Red Street Records, releasing her own version of Lake and Wilson's deeply moving song, which recently won the 2026 GMA Dove Award for Country / Roots Recorded Song of the Year.

Perhaps Lake might even join Bryson on a reimagined rendition of ‘The Jesus I Know Now’, a collaboration that would undoubtedly be a full-circle for Bryson, an avid fan of Lake.

After joining Red Street Records, it seems Bryson is gearing up for a new chapter in her music career. Given how captivating her cover of ‘The Jesus I Know Now’ is, we can't wait to hear what the fast-emerging country artist has up her sleeve next.
