Morgan Wallen has built a reputation for his casual, off-hand song teasers, usually shared across socials with a simple emoji or blasé comment as fans are sent into a wild frenzy.

In his latest post, however, Wallen is trying his hand at videography, with the Sneedville hitmaker delivering a tender, piano-driven version of his hit single, ’Love Somebody’.

In the caption, Morgan Wallen jokes, “Will not be taking on any more cinematography projects this year as I will be busy doing things I’m hopefully somewhat better at”.

Then, in the comments, the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper pokes fun at the viral 2023 clip of him playing his One Thing At A Time closer, ‘Dying Man’, with bare feet, “Wore shoes this time”.

The studio version of ‘Love Somebody’ features an enchanting, Latin-leaning ambience, with Morgan Wallen's vocals cushioned by a hazy, summery synth instrumental. This newly uploaded piano rendition of ’Love Somebody’, which hit the peak of the Billboard Hot 100 late last year, gives the heartbroken offering an entirely different feel. It takes on the same sparse, vulnerable atmosphere of Wallen's Dangerous stand-out, ‘Sand in My Boots’, with the ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter's charismatic drawl gliding evocatively across the keys.

When setting up his phone camera, Morgan Wallen explains that he's currently trying to figure out which tracks to add to his 2025 I'm the Problem Tour setlist, “Alright, I'm recording this myself, trying to figure out what we're gonna play on tour. Probably not going to play this on tour - not this version anyway - but I like how it sounds”.

Morgan Wallen's close friend, ERNEST, and his Big Loud Records label CEO, Seth England, have hilariously responded by teasing Wallen for his now-signature ‘Thank you!’, which he delivers in this clip and at the end of virtually every song on tour. One of Wallen's sisters, Ashlyne, quipped that she thought he'd posted the video by accident, due to its DIY nature, “Not me about to text you the first two seconds to say you accidentally posted on ig 😂”. Another of Wallen's sisters, Mikaela, gushed, “Can’t anyone ever deny the pure raw vocal talent 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻”.

Although, as he said himself, Morgan Wallen won't be performing this intricate, stripped-back version of ’Love Somebody’ when he hits the road later this year, we're hoping he doesn't drop the beloved acoustic portion from his 2025 set. Last year, for instance, Wallen would walk to a B-stage and perform captivating renditions of slower fan-favourites, such as ’Sand in My Boots’, ‘Cover Me Up‘ and ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’.

This video comes just days after Morgan Wallen shared a photo of him deciding which songs to cut from the tracklist for his keenly awaited fourth album, I'm the Problem, with the blurred-out drawing board seemingly suggesting it will be 37 songs long.

Excitingly, if Morgan Wallen's attention has now turned to his 2025 I'm the Problem Tour setlist, it seems the album's tracklist may be finalised at long last. There's no release date for I'm the Problem just yet, but we have a theory that it'll be dropping on April 4th - 4/4 - in honour of this being Wallen's fourth studio record.
