Morgan Wallen headlines Gainesville's Ben Hill Griffin Stadium this Friday and Saturday (May 15th and 16th) - and we have some inklings and suspicions as to who will be joining him for his pre-show walk-out, including Tim Tebow, Baker Mayfield and more.
Wallen's walk-out has become a beloved tradition ahead of his shows in recent years, with the Sneedville megastar being joined by a dazzling array of stars from the sports and music worlds. We've seen him flanked by Travis Kelce, Tom Brady, Mike Tyson and even Drake - so naturally, we're wondering who we can look forward to seeing walking alongside the ‘Love Somebody’ hitmaker in Gainesville, Florida.
We've broken down our pre-show walk-out predictions for Wallen's 2026 Ben Hill Stadium concerts below, ranked by how likely we really think these cameos are...
Money On Me (Most Likely): Tim Tebow, Steve Spurrier & Jon Sumrall
We reckon all of these are strong candidates to join Wallen for his walk-out at The Swamp, with Tim Tebow leading the race. Tebow is undoubtedly the most renowned figure in Florida Gators history, winning a couple of National Championships and the Heisman Trophy during his time with the team. He's now a pundit and analyst, and the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium would erupt if he emerges next to Wallen.
Steve Spurrier is another top option - a toption, if you will - as the quarterback is one of the Gators’ most revered coaches, having reigned during the team's successful 1990–2001 era. Like Wallen, Spurrier is an East Tennessee boy, growing up in Johnson City, and we all know how loyal the ‘Miami’ singer-songwriter is to his roots.
Similarly, Wallen could well keep it current, recruiting current coach Jon Sumrall to do the honours. Sumrall was asked about the prospect ahead of the shows, and remained tight-lipped, but confirmed he knew who would be walking out, “I'm not going to comment on that because I don't want to ruin who is. I know who is”. Could this be a hint that it'll be Sumrall himself? We think it just might be.
Hope That's True (Very Possible): Todd Golden & Baker Mayfield
During that same press conference, Sumrall revealed that he'd be attending both nights of Wallen's Gainesville double-header, and that Gators basketball coach Todd Golden would be joining him for Night One. We're wondering if this is a clue that Golden - a much-loved Gators figure - will have some involvement in the Friday walk-out.
Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is another possible walk-out buddy, given how close Tampa is to Gainesville, and Mayfield's status as a modern-day Florida hero. However, this would admittedly be a somewhat less exciting choice, given the fact that we saw Mayfield - who is a big country fan and has joined Zach Bryan on-stage in the past - walk out with Wallen in Tampa a couple of years ago.
F150-50 (Fifty-Fifty Chance): Graham Mertz
Wallen and Graham Mertz have an opportunity to do something pretty hilarious. Back in 2024, Mertz, who now plies his trade at the Houston Texans, got injured while playing at Neyland Stadium shortly after Wallen's two shows at the Tennessee venue.
Given the fact that the turf had to be replaced following this blockbuster double-header, Gator fans - some jokingly, others less so - blamed Wallen for Mertz's non-contact injury.
Now, with Wallen headlining the home of the Gators, this could be a hilarious way to squash this faux-beef with an unexpected link-up. We think it's unlikely, but it would be iconic.
Just in Case (Wildcard Pick): Kenny Chesney
This might just be wishful thinking, but Tropical Country legend Kenny Chesney has a longstanding affinity with Florida, and he has just been filming a music video for ‘Carry On’ in the state. It's worth flagging that Chesney was in Key West, which isn't exactly near to Gainesville, but hey, this has been a link-up we've been waiting on for ages, especially given Wallen and Chesney are both East Tennessee boys.
They've always been buddies, and have been spotted watching their beloved Volunteers play together in the past, so you never know. If we had a choice, we'd rather Chesney came out to perform with Wallen, but a walk-out would still be awesome.
