To coincide with the release of his latest single, ‘In Your Love’, Tyler Childers took to his socials to announce a brand new album, Rustin’ In The Rain, which will arrive on September 8.
Judging from Apple Music's pre-release, Rustin’ In The Rain will consist of seven tracks, including ‘In Your Love’. The artwork features Tyler in retro attire standing alongside a horse, which ties in with the aesthetic of the newly released music video for ‘In Your Love’.
With this in mind, the new album could well turn out to be a concept album, pivoting around the two male lovers that drive the heartbreaking ‘In Your Love’ visuals. Alternatively, perhaps the project tells the stories of a number of other characters from the same era.
Either way, the sense of anticipation is sky-high as Tyler Childers’ loyal fanbase celebrate the news that they've been waiting for ever since he dropped his 2022 album, Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven?
With the Rustin’ In The Rain release date still a number of weeks away, we suspect - and hope - Tyler will treat listeners to another single or two before he drops the entire record.
Even if we don't get any official studio tracks ahead of the album, attendees at Tyler Childers’ summer run of tour dates will be keeping their fingers crossed that the Kentucky native incorporates a handful of songs from Rustin’ In The Rain into his live setlist in the coming weeks.
