Ahead of the release of his highly anticipated full-length debut album, viral newcomer Ty Myers has dropped another soon-to-be hit.
The intoxicating 'Drunk Love' arrives Friday (Jan. 10), just before his project, The Select, drops on Jan. 24. The song, with its brutally honest lyrics and sweeping soundscape, will join previously released offerings like 'Ends of the Earth', 'Worry Is A Sickness', 'Let 'Em Talk' and 'Can’t Hold Me Down' on the 16-track project.
"I'm tired of drunk love," the young artist sings in the song's gripping chorus, "You can only feel the lust when your body's numb / Another one leads to keepin' the lights on / Close all decisions you regret when the sun comes up / 'Cause it's nothin' to speak of / I'm tired of drunk love."
The bewitching tune adds to the rising star's already expansive catalogue of deeply ruminative works, numbers that will soon culminate in The Select.
"These past couple years have been crazy and I'm thankful for everyone who's come out to shows, listened, and sung along," he shared on social media, announcing the arrival of his debut. "Thank y'all for making this crazy dream come true. Can't wait for y'all to hear this."
Just before the album's release, Myers will hit the road, embarking on a 25-date jaunt from January to May 2025. The 'Drinkin' Alone' star will hit iconic venues like New Braunfels' Gruene Hall, the Lone Star State's staple chain, Rowdy’s Dance Hall, as well as New York City's legendary Bowery Ballroom along the way.
