Morgan Wallen has picked up his eighth career No. 1 with ‘Thought You Should Know’. It has usurped Kane and Katelyn Brown's ‘Thank God’ on Billboard's Country Airplay chart.
The heartfelt song and its accompanying video is a touching ode to his mother, and finds Wallen apologising for all the times he's been the cause of any anxiety or worry for her (“Yeah, I know you've been worrying 'bout me / You've been losing sleep since '93”).
The song then builds into a loving tribute to all the unseen ways in which Wallen's mother has been helping him and guiding him through the years (“I thought you should know / That all those prayers you thought you wasted on me / Must've finally made their way on through”).
‘Thought You Should Know’ was one of the first singles released off Morgan Wallen's upcoming third album, One Thing At A Time, which is set to drop on March 3.
It'll also feature the record-breaking single, ‘You Proof’, along with the likes of ‘Tennessee Fan’, ‘Days That End In Why’, ‘Don't Think Jesus’, ‘Everything I Love’ and more.
Elsewhere on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, Lainey Wilson's ‘Heart Like A Truck’ has now soared into the Top Five.
It's the third week in a row that Wilson has two songs in the Top Ten, with her HARDY collaboration, ‘wait in the truck’ locked in at No. 10 once again.
Lainey Wilson remains the first woman in over a decade to have posted two simultaneous Top Ten songs at Country Radio.
