Thomas Rhett has returned to the pinnacle of the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, with his lovestruck anthem, ‘Beautiful As You’, spending its third non-consecutive week at No. 1.
The romantic ode to his wife, Lauren, arrived in May, and was included on the tracklist for Thomas Rhett's lauded new studio album, About a Woman, which dropped in August.
The sleek, uplifting offering finds TR resuming his role as the sweet, endearing husband, as he croons adoringly about all the ways in which he feels Lauren is too good for him.
On this week's UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, dated from August 23 to 29, ‘Beautiful As You’ has secured a sizeable 824,616 impressions, a 65% boost compared to the previous frame. This will have been at least partially fuelled by the release of Thomas Rhett's highly anticipated seventh album, About a Woman, on August 23.
Slotting in at No. 2 is last week's chart-topper, Luke Combs’ tempestuous Twisters: The Album single, ‘Ain't No Love in Oklahoma’, with the Top Five completed by Jordan Davis’ ‘I Ain't Sayin’, Drew Baldridge's ‘She's Somebody's Daughter’ and Lainey Wilson's ’Hang Tight Honey’ at No. 3, 4 and 5 respectively.
The biggest mover in this frame is Little Big Town's ‘Girl Crush’, which soared up 297% to bring the band's classic 2014 hit to No. 33. The iconic track has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity of late, courtesy of Little Big Town's new Greatest Hits record.
This week also saw brand new UK Country Radio Airplay chart entries for a slew of tracks, Zac Brown Band's ‘Two Blue Chairs & You’ (No. 30), Lainey Wilson's ‘Bar in Baton Rouge’ (No. 34), Kaitlin Butts’ ‘Buckaroo’ (No. 35), Nate Smith's ‘Fix What You Didn't Break’ (No. 43), Beth Nielsen Chapman's ’Put a Woman in Charge’ (No. 44), Gillian Welch and David Rawlings’ ‘What We Had’ (No. 45), Wyatt Flores’ ‘Don't Wanna Say Goodnight’ (No. 46) and Redferrin's ’Miss Summer’ (No. 47).
