The Secret Sisters have shared an acoustic performance of their song, ‘Cabin’ in celebration of their Grammy nominations.
The video sees the sisters performing a stripped-back version of the roots song, taken from their album Saturn Return.
With just a guitar and a microphone between them, it’s the harmonies that the sisters are famed for that bring the performance to life.
The duo, made up of Laura and Lydia Rogers, are credited with writing all the songs on the record, produced by Brandi Carlisle.
They are nominated for two Grammy’s this year at the 63rd Awards ceremony - ’Cabin’ is nominated for Best American Roots Song and Saturn Return in the Best Folk Album category.
In-between recording and releasing this record, the sisters both became mothers for the first time. The album reflects the change and transformation that has taken place in their lives since their last record was released in 2017.
The pair, originally from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, hope to embark on a tour later this year to support the album.
It was announced earlier in the month that the Grammy Awards had been postponed due to the pandemic, with the ceremony now taking place on March 14th, where the Secret Sisters will be hoping to take home their first awards.
Saturn Return, the latest album from Americana duo The Secret Sisters, is out now via New West Records.
