One of the buzziest bands in country and Americana, The Red Clay Strays, are building on their massive 2023 breakthrough success with their highly-anticipated record, Made by These Moments. Expected for release on July 26, it'll be the group's first project since signing to RCA Records earlier this spring.
Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, Made by These Moments will find the band continuing to hone in on their genre-melding sound, with electric rock and roll with southern soul taking center stage across its eleven tracks.
Ahead of the record's full release in just a few short weeks, the band, who recently earned a nomination for Emerging Act of the Year at the 2024 Americana Honors & Awards, has dropped their newest song, 'Wanna Be Loved,' alongside it's accompanying music video.
Exploring fundamental elements of the human condition, reflecting on faith, love and redemption, lead singer Brandon Coleman shares, “Made by These Moments shines a light on overcoming the battles we face in life like loneliness, depression and hopelessness. We hope you listen and recognize that our pain has a purpose.”
Made up of Coleman (lead vocals, guitar), Drew Nix (electric guitar, vocals, harmonica), Zach Rishel (electric guitar), Andrew Bishop (bass) and John Hall (drums), The Red Clay Strays were formed in Mobile, AL in 2016. Since releasing their debut album, Moment of Truth, in 2022, they've been on the fast track to stardom.
With over 100 million streams to date, their breakout hit, 'Wondering Why,' topped Spotify’s Viral 50 USA Playlist and spent six-consecutive weeks atop the Americana Singles chart in late 2023. The song also reached No. 84 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 and No. 18 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
As if things couldn't get more exciting, The Red Clay Strays will be making their late-night television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 23, and will keep up steam through the remainder of 2024 on their These Moments Tour.
