2024 was an utter whirlwind for one of country music's newest superstars, Dasha.

With her blockbuster hit, 'Austin,' garnering hundreds of millions of streams and billions of views of TikTok, all eyes have been peeled to see what the California singer-songwriter will do next.

Finally, we have our answer, and the verdict is that Dasha was never going to be just a flash in the pan.

The first taste of her next album, the 25-year-old hitmaker is releasing her highly-anticipated and already well-loved single, 'Not At This Party,' on February 28 and it feels as though she's unable to release a song that isn't a masterclass in country-pop success.

A look inside Dasha's mind at a crowded party that we quickly understand she has no interest in being at, it's an all too relatable tale of putting on a brave face and faking it till you make it as your personal life may or may not be crumbling to pieces.

"I can't hear this music / Cause I'm hearing you yell / You're so in love with me but right now you need to work on yourself," she pleads in the chorus as gang vocals and claps fill in the space.

Underlining the feelings of being physically there but not mentally present, she adds: "They think I've moved on with my life / And I'm having a good night / I'm here on this dance floor / Just like everybody / But nobody here knows just how bad you got me / I'm not at this party."

And so it goes for three and a half minutes, backed by an utterly infectious banjo riff, boot stomping and a heavy helping of fiddle and mandolin, all combining for the perfect cross-section of the country and pop worlds.

During a conversation with Holler, the 'Bye Bye Bye' singer explained that this new song serves as a telling roadmap as to what we can expect from her forthcoming record.

"'Not At This Party' is kind of like the pinnacle of me really tapping into the space between pop and country, like raw mandolin, banjo solos, fiddle. Then, it also has that big pop hook that I love," she shared.

"This album is going to feel like this and I'm very excited."

The first single from Dasha's sophomore album will be released on February 28.

If you needed any more proof that 'Not At This Party' was born to be a hit, it's telling that Dasha penned the tune with revered country hitmakers Ashley Gorley and Ben Johnson–a pair who, combined, have a dizzying list of hit songs under their belt for the likes of Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay, HARDY, Nate Smith, Weezer, Jelly Roll, SZA, Sam Hunt, Carly Pearce and countless others.

'Not At This Party' serves as the first peek at what we can expect from the country-pop prodigy in 2025 and beyond, and follows her debut country record, What Happens Now?, which arrived in February 2024.

Dasha's 2025 single, 'Not At This Party,' is available everywhere on February 28 via Warner Records.
