Last year, Dasha's breakout tune, 'Austin,' was like the little song that could.
Amassing her millions of streams, billions of views on TikTok, award nominations, high-profile TV appearances and an onslaught of devoted fans all line dancing their way through 2024, it was hard to imagine how the California native could be able to continue this momentum into her next musical chapter.
Yet, after an intoxicating performance of her next single during CRS 2025, it would seem that the superstar is simply a hit machine.
"I have this song called 'Not At This Party' that is kicking off this new album cycle for me," she told the crowd, teeming with industry executives and radio broadcasters during the coveted New Faces of Country Music showcase.
Dasha has been teasing new music since the top of the year, finally delivering the news we've all been waiting for: "It comes out officially next Friday, February 28th!"
Opening in a crowded room at a party, Dasha takes us through her inner turmoil of being unable to shake the memories and thoughts of an old flame, but still having to be present amongst the partgoers.
"Deep breath, big smile / It's been a while / Since I've been in a crowd like this / Stay off the wall / Don't think, just talk / Pray no one says the name I miss," she croons before she admits that she's mentally somewhere else.
Joined by scrumptious gang vocals and boasting her pitch perfect, compelling vocals, she belts: "I'm not at this party / I'm back in your backseat / You're pulling it over / You just had to have me / I can't hear this music / Cause I'm hearing you yell / You're so in love with me but right now you need to work on yourself."
Led by a riveting banjo, the new tune continues in the same vein as many of the songs from her debut country record, What Happens Now?, but this time, on steroids.
Doubling down on the country-infused instrumentation, 'Not At This Party' is another infectious boot-stomper that's bound to notch the young star another bonafide hit.
Officially marking the beginning of her next musical chapter, and serving as the first taste of what we can expect from the country-pop prodigy, 'Not At This Party' will be available everywhere on February 28.

Deep breath, big smile
It's been a while
Since I've been in a crowd like this
Stay off the wall
Don't think, just talk
Pray no one says the name I miss
I'm drunk here in the bathroom line
I'm checking my phone just one more time
In case you hit me with an un-goodbye
I'll fix myself up in the mirror
And walk out with a shitty beer
Even though they see me here
I'm not at this party
I'm back in your backseat
You're pulling it over
You just had to have me
I can't hear this music
Cause I'm hearing you yell
You're so in love with me but right now you need to work on yourself
They think I've moved on with my life
That I'm having a good night
I'm here on this dance floor
Just like everybody
But nobody here knows just how bad you got me
I'm not at this party
I'm good (I'm good)
I'm great (I'm great)
Don't say (Don't say)
Your name (Your name)
Just talk about the weather instead (La, la, la)
Just stay, don't leave
So they can't see
We're steaming up the glass in my head
I'm not at this party
I'm back in your backseat
You're pulling it over
You just had to have me
I can't hear this music
Cause I'm hearing you yell
You're so in love with me but right now you need to work on yourself
They think I've moved on with my life
That I'm having a good night
I'm here on this dance floor
Just like everybody
But nobody here knows just how bad you got me
I'm not at this party
I'm drunk here in the bathroom line
I'm checking my phone just one more time
In case you hit me with an un-goodbye, I know you won't
I'll fix myself up in the mirror
And walk out with a shitty beer
Even though they see me here
I'm not at this party
I'm back in your backseat
You're pulling it over
You just had to have me
I can't hear this music
Cause I'm hearing you yell
You're so in love with me but right now you need to work on yourself
They think I've moved on with my life
That I'm having a good night
I'm here on this dance floor
Just like everybody
But nobody here knows just how bad you got me
I'm not at this party
I'm not at this party
