Sturgill Simpson Plots More Johnny Blue Skies Dates for Spring-Summer 2025

Sturgill Simpson, ... or Johnny Blue Skies, is at it again.

The artist will soon be setting out on his "Who the Fuck is Johnny Blue Skies? Tour" in support of his recent Johnny Blue Skies release, Passage Du Desir, a 2024 album that saw the reclusive artist trade his government name for the JBS moniker.

The spring-summer outings will likely follow the artist's recent "An Evening With..." format: no supporting acts and three-hour-long sets. Alongside the new list of dates, the tour poster even reads: "No openers, if you're on time, you're late".

Through the months of April and May, Simpson will take on arenas and amphitheatres across North America, making stops in cities like Denver, Spokane, Las Vegas, Tulsa, Knoxville and beyond.

Along the way, he has been tapped to headline festivals like Georgetown, TX's Two Step Inn, Indio, CA's Stagecoach, Louisville, KY's Bourbon & Beyond and more.

The star's most recent tour dates have welcomed career-spanning setlists, the artist pulling from over a decade's-worth of music. Throughout the showcases, he would pepper in some fan-favorites, classic covers and many of his recent Passage Du Desir offerings for an expansive three-dozen-song display.

Fans are likely in store for something similar on this upcoming jaunt.
