As has now been officially revealed via a rip-roaring announcement video, Riley Green is set to embark on the Damn Country Music tour alongside Ella Langley, Vincent Mason and more.
The ‘Jesus Saves’ singer-songwriter already has a range of dates lined up for the remainder of the year, but his new run of shows will unofficially kick off on New Years Eve with a special show in Durant, Oklahoma alongside his tour-partner-in-crime, Ella Langley.
The full-blown tour will launch a few months later, on March 27th. General tickets for Riley's Damn Country Music shows will go on-sale at 10am local time on Friday, September 27th, with artist pre-sale opening at 10am today (Wednesday, September 26th). Fans can sign up for access to the pre-sale via Riley Green's website.
The script for today's tour video was initially leaked via Instagram by a Riley Green fan-page, ‘Splash of Riley’. It features an exciting cast of artists with a variety of inventive stage-names.
In addition to Ella Langley and Vincent Mason, Riley Green's Damn Country Music tour will feature Wyatt McCubbin, Erik Dylan, Mike Ryan, Jake Worthington, Preston Cooper, Lauren Watkins and Drake White as part of his impressive roster of openers.
The video pivots around Riley Green - or rather, ‘Duckman’ - calling up his buddies and making sure they're all happy to join him out on the road. The tour will take him across Canada in March and April, before he brings his arsenal of down-home anthems to Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Michigan, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Montana and Idaho. Riley also has a slew of festival dates lined up for 2025.
Charmingly, the clip concludes with a trucker asking Duckman, “Is that Smoke Show gonna make it? Over”, with Ella Langley chiming in, “You bet your ass I am. Y'all better keep up!“ Riley then delivers the final lines, “Let's go play some damn country music, y'all!”, referencing the opening track from his widely acclaimed 2023 album, Ain't My Last Rodeo, a cover of Tim McGraw's ‘Damn Country Music’.
The revelation arrives after Riley Green and Ella Langley shared a series of photos of the ‘you look like you love me’ collaborators in a car, while shooting the video, which is inspired by the iconic 1977 film, Smokey and the Bandit. Riley steps into the shoes of Burt Reynolds, while Ella assumes the role played by Sandy Field. Aptly, Jerry Reed's iconic hit, ‘Eastbound and Down’ plays throughout, with the playful, much-loved track appearing on the Smokey and the Bandit soundtrack.
Hilariously, Ella Langley took to the comments to ask Riley Green, “Wait I thought I was gonna get to be Burt Reynolds”, again highlighting the endearing chemistry between the artists.
Following the viral success of ‘you look like you love me’, which was recently given a Wild West-themed set of visuals, the two Alabama natives teamed up on the title-track from Riley Green's new studio album, Don't Mind If I Do, which drops on October 18th.
Although Riley Green is currently only confirmed as performing in Canada, the US and Australia, he confirmed earlier in the year that he will thankfully be returning to the UK soon, after an electric live debut at BST Hyde Park in July. Those who pre-order Riley's new album via his webstore will gain pre-sale access to these UK dates.
