Even though Riley Green has been steadily churning out music for the last two years – including two full-length albums (2023's Ain't My Last Rodeo and 2024's Don't Mind If I Do) and his Way Out Here EP – he doesn't seem to be running out of new songs to show off on socials.
The most recent snippet, titled 'My Way,' is another quintessential Green hit-in-the-making as he leans on his smooth speak-singing style that's cemented his spot at the forefront of the genre.
"If I had it my way / I'd be watching your eyes turn from brown to hazel right now / The way they did on that back porch swing when the sky turned red watching the sun go down," Green croons as a lone acoustic guitar picks along.
"There'd be a field full of fireflies watching this lost time making up / You'd be in my arms / We'd still be in love / If I had it my way," he continues, giving us the indication that the sun has set on the relationship he's singing about, but that doesn't he doesn't dream about how it could've played out.
Moving onto what would be the second verse, Green offers up another dream scenario in his head, noting that if it were up to him, they'd be watching the stars and swaying along to old soul records before spending a peaceful night together.
Though Green only graced fans with the first two verses of 'My Way,' it has all the makings to be an instant fan-favorite, with his signature storytelling and vivid imagery taking center stage.
'My Way' joins the recently-teased 'Make It Rain,' which Green debuted on socials in late February., taking the form of a striking ode that finds a protagonist reflecting on the mistakes they made during a relationship.
As we await the news of any official release dates from the 'Don't Mind If I Do' singer, Green will be busy on his Damn Country Music Tour, with shows lineup up all around the US and Canada, including stops in Detroit, Baltimore, New York, Boston and more through mid-August.

If I had it my way
I'd be watching your eyes turn from brown to hazel right now
The way they did on that back porch swing when the sky turned red watching the sun go down
There'd be a field full of fireflies watching this lost time making up
You'd be in my arms
We'd still be in love
If I had it my way
If I had it my way
If I had it my way
I would blink and we'd disappear somewhere somehow
Have a little bit of red wine poured into coffee cups watching the stars come out
We'd have an Al Green record on, dance a little by the fireplace
We'd make our love and we'd just lay
If I had it my way
If I had it my way
