Riley Green’s spicy love song, ‘Worst Way,’ has topped the UK Country Airplay Charts for the first time this week.
During the frame dated April 4 to April 10, ‘Worst Way’ received a whopping 684,786 impressions across 55 plays. Not necessarily new to the airwaves, the 2024 tune has been picking up traction since the steamy, tongue-in-cheek music video was released a few weeks ago.
Hot on Green’s tale is UK Country Radio Airplay Chart King, Blake Shelton, with fan favourite, ‘Texas,’ which took on a close 644,909 impressions last week. Shelton has so far enjoyed eight non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 – could he be loading up a ninth?
Dasha’s ‘Not At This Party’ has dropped from 2nd to 3rd this week, followed by Megan Moroney’s ‘Am I Okay?’ which is still enjoying a Top 5 spot 33 weeks after its release. Myles Smith finishes up the upper ranks with ‘Nice To Meet You’ featuring much-loved female powerhouse, Lainey Wilson.
Last week’s No. 1, Eric Church’s ‘Hands Of Time’ has dropped a significant amount, falling to No. 10 and receiving 72 plays.
Slightly outside the Top 10, Russell Dickerson enters the charts this week with new track, ‘Happen To Me,’ which picked up such a response on socials that it has gone straight to radio. It joins the UK Country Airplay Chart at No. 11 for its debut week.
We also see debuts from Lainey Wilson and her newly released ‘Bell Bottoms Up’ at No. 31, ERNEST and Snoop Dogg’s groovy ‘Gettin’ Gone’ at 39 and Tucker Wetmore’s ‘Silverado Blue’ at 45.
