Riley Green has established himself as one of the most prolific artists in modern country music, with the Alabama native rarely waiting as long as a week after dropping an album before returning to socials to tease another brand new song.
We've seen this throughout 2025, with Green refusing to let the release of his wildly successful Don't Mind If I Do (Deluxe) album in the summer slow down his stream of unreleased teasers. Green has been flooding his Instagram feed with snippets of tracks such as ‘Damn, I Miss That Dog’, ‘She Wrecked Me’ and ‘Got That From You’.
Excitingly, during a recent conversation with Holler, Green has revealed that he has his sights set on his next album, as well as sharing why he likes to keep a steady flow of new music across his socials, “Man, I think I'm in a place where - and I've always done this - when I write a song, I'm excited about it, and I want to share it”.
The ‘Worst Way’ hitmaker expands, “Often, I put the whole song out there. Sometimes it may just be a little clip, but for me, it's just [making the most of it] while people are listening - and my audience has never been bigger than it is right now”.
He goes on to highlight that his creative process is constantly progressing, such is his love of the craft, “I never really stopped writing. For me, it's not like you have an album like Don't Mind If I Do that does well, and you go, ‘Okay, I can relax’. It's more the opposite. Things are going really well, and I want to go write more songs”.
The ‘you look like you love me’ crooner then offers fans a status update on his next body of work, confirming he already has a wealth of material lined up for his Don't Mind If I Do follow-up, “I've got probably 17 to 20 songs right now that I'm ready to put on another record. It's a really cool time to have so many eyes and ears on you”.
As for the kinds of songs we can look forward to hearing from Green's next studio effort, he hints that he'll make sure we get another love song in the mould of his viral hit, ‘Worst Way’, and his early fan-favourite, ’When She Comes Home Tonight’.
He emphasises that he doesn't feel the weight of expectation, though, to try and recreate the success of ’Worst Way’, “It's certainly not pressure. It's more just motivation to try something a little different, you know? As a songwriter, I've certainly got my lane, and it's a pretty obvious there's a theme that I like to write from”.
He muses, “I think to continue to have a career that grows, you've got to push the envelope a little bit, push your comfort zone and get outside the box a little bit. It's a fine line to stay true to yourself, and to be able to do something a little different. So ‘Worst Way’ was my attempt at that, and it certainly worked pretty well for me”.
Green concludes, “So I think that I'll always try to find that place and write from that place. Hopefully my next album will be similar to this one. I think the thing I'm most proud of about Don't Mind If I Do is that it has a lot of different types of songs on it”.
At the time of writing, ’Worst Way’ is sat on a staggering 330 million streams on Spotify alone, with the steamy music video having racked up 33 million views in just under a year. The sultry track went on to spend two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart, with the title-track from his latest album, ‘Don't Mind If I Do’ with Ella Langley, following in its footsteps in December. This made Green the first artist since Taylor Swift to earn back-to-back solo-written No. 1s on this chart, ensuring the momentum remains high behind Green as he announces that his next single will be the similarly seductive ’Change My Mind’.
Whether or not that will prove as popular as the sensational ‘Worst Way’ remains to be seen, but one thing's for sure, Green won't let any outside projections or expectations - or the constant swirl of dating gossip that surrounds him - influence his songwriting. We reckon this means we've got a lot to look forward to from the ‘Different ‘Round Here’ chart-topper as 2026 gets underway...
